This lot comes to us from the community bearing its name, around the town of San Antonio in the Yanatile district of greater Cusco. Nested on the edges of the Peruvian Amazon, this coffee is grown organically basking in the biodiversity of the region.
These producers are part of an ancient community, speaking Quechua as their primary language, with thirty coffee producing families represented in this lot. The times are challenging here, with many of the youth losing interest in the old ways; it’s a reminder of how delicate supply chains can be.
Brew this lot to your heart’s content. It’s sweet, chocolatey and a true crowd pleaser, but above all, a taste of a very special place filled with traditions we should cherish.
